Dr. Julie Metzger
Dr. Julie Metzger has been practicing Optometry since 1993. A native of Florence, KY, Dr. Metzger attended Northern Kentucky University before the University of Houston, where she received her Optometry Doctorate degree. Dr. Metzger is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
Dr. Metzger did her training at Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington as well as Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox, KY. Dr. Metzger is active in our community:
- Dr. Metzger Aubuchon is a member of the Florence City Council where she has served in that capacity since 1999.
- Dr. Metzger Aubuchon is President of the Kentucky Optometric Association (2010-2011)
- Boone County Board of Health
- Medical Reserve Corps
- Northern Kentucky Regional Citizen Corps Council
- Past National President, United States Junior Chamber
- Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry
Dr. Metzger serves the needs of patients of all ages but especially enjoys working with children.
Dr. Julie resides in Florence with her husband Pat Aubuchon and their son, Brady.

Dr. William F. Metzger
Dr. Bill Metzger is a native of Northern Kentucky. He is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry. He received his training at the VA Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia as well as the Easter Seals Health Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Bill regularly conducts vision screenings for local schools as well as visits over 40 nursing homes to provide eyecare to patients who find it more difficult to travel.
Dr. Bill is experienced with difficult contact lens fittings and enjoys working with elderly patients.
Dr. Bill and his wife Pat reside in Northern Kentucky and have four children. He is also very active in church & participates with Fr. Berting's Appalachian Mission.

Dr. Elizabeth Ronau
Dr. Elizabeth Ronau is the newest addition to Metzger Eye Care, joining us in August 2012. Dr. Ronau received both her Bachelor of Science degree and Optometry Doctorate from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She completed her clinical rotations at the Indian Health Services hospital in Whiteriver, Arizona and at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Ronau is a member of the American Optometric Association, Kentucky Optometric Association,College of Optometrists in Vision Development and has worked in eyecare since 2004.
She recently married Edward and they live in downtown Cincinnati with their Yorkie-Bichon, Mica. Dr. Ronau is excited to join the Metzger Eye Care team and enjoys working with patients of all ages, especially children and those with binocular vision problems.

Dr. Tom Moore
Dr. Moore is a cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry and has practiced in downtown Covington for more than 30 years. Dr. Moore was a Navy submarine service division officer and after serving his country earned the following degrees: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Marquette University and Master of Science, Computer Science, The Ohio State University. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Kentucky Optometric Association. Dr. Moore provides general eyecare and fits contact lenses.
Dr. Moore resides in Kenton County and has been a member of the Covington/Kenton Lions Club for 29 years.
